hungry.

Does anyone else remember during the Commonwealth games when Smith's came up with themed chips? There was Austalian 'sausage sizzle', Canadian poutine and English lamb and mint (they didn't really pull out the stops to cover the whole of the commonwealth there did they?). The former were not too good, but the lamb and mint ones were excellent - just like a Sunday roast only quicker and more fattening - but of course were a novelty and were discontinued. Probably because no one liked them...

but I did!

And I've just found out that it's a legitimate chip flavour in England. Awesome! Chunnel, here I come.

And they say the British have no culinary expertise...

Oh Em. The wonders have only just begun. Know what else is a legit chip flavour in the UK - Worcestershire Sauce. Ohmygod. Yum. Although, they're crisps, not chips :-P

OHMIGOD. I LOVE worcestershire sauce. It's one of my most favouritest things in the whole world. Really. This is AWESOME news. =)

I had cucumber flavoured chips in China. That was pretty weird.

Apparently the french are so not into chips though that they don't even sell individual sized packets. There will be much stocking up in England methinks.

Also - thanks for the book suggestions! I haven't read any of them, so a trip to borders is in store...

Speaking of cucumber, I tried some Tsatziki chips the other dy that tasted amazingly like Tsatziki. And they still can't get chicken right..

Sorry to drag this out even further, but I think I can top you... wait for it... Peking Duck flavoured chips. Oh yeah. From some random Asian grocer. Very odd.
